Oxeye Daisy
Chrysanthemum leucanthemum

    • a perennial herb
    • grows to 24 inches
    • flowers up to 2 inches in diameter,   white petals with a yellow disk centerreproduced by seed which can remain alive for years
    • leaves are finely divided into thread-like segments
    • not eaten by animals but displaces native daisies
    • can cause blistering of muzzles and skin rashes in live stock
  • native daisies have smaller flowers with narrow petals (note photo below)
